ADHD Symptoms – Another Problem That “Mimics” ADHD

It appears that the list of “other problems” that mimic symptoms of ADHD just got another addition. According to this recent article, sleep apnea can be another problem where your child will exhibit the characteristic symptoms of attention deficit disorder:
- Difficulty focusing
- Increased irritability
- Fidgety
- Uncontrollable emotional outbursts
Doesthis sound familiar?
Well, according to this article and ongoing research related to sleep disorders, your child may demonstrate the very same symptoms of ADHD when he or she is not getting a good night’s rest.
There has long been controversy over the causes of ADHD. And there remains controversy over the causes of ADHD. But we often overlook, and we often do not provide enough education and support, to teach that the most common symptoms of ADHD are not exclusive to ADHD.
