Today I’d like you to join me in delcaring your goals and intentions for the summer. Each year, on this very day, I think about summer as a fresh start to bring new beginnings. And for the last few years, I have not really accomplished everything that I had hoped for..
I am NOT going to beat myself up over this.
I could easily spend a lot of time doing that!
Last summer my family had more unscheduled and unnecessary trips than we could have ever imagined,. That dramtically affected the work I was able to get done. But that’s neither here nor there…
Today, I’d like to share my goals with you and in return I’d like to give you the chance to be my support partner in a "challenege " where we help one another and get more done. The bottom line is that when you declare your intentions and share them out loud – there is a greater chance you will get them done. On top of that, by sharing your goals with others – you create built-in accountability and motivation to get things done.
Here’s How It Works:
Each day or (whenever I update), I’ll share progress of my goals and I’ll ask for you to do the same in the comments section. Success comes from sharing your goals and declaring your intentions. I hope you will join me so that we can all get the most of the summer months.
Your goals can be personal, business, or family…
My Goals:
- Take weekends off from work
- Create more content for ADHDFamilyOnline.com
- Outline, structure, and complete 2 reports
- Finalize arrangements with experts and contributors
As the summer goes one, I will refine and update (and get more specific) on what these goals mean to me, and how I intend to accomplish them. I’d love to hear your thoughts…but more importantly I’d love for you to share your goals with us!

Hi!
We are moving rooms! I am giving my art room up to my 12 year old daughter and moving my art room to the un-used spare space. It’s got better light so it’s a win-win situation!
Then we have to decorate her room and my other daughter’s room – she’ll have a room to herself! It’s decor time!
My other goal is to put systems into place to help my 12 year old be as ready as she can be for grade 7 – a new school! That includes organzational plans, a schedule, praticing walking to school and setting ourselves up to be successful!
Oh and of course there is always camping, laughing and swimming!

Hello from Montana:
I decided on my last birthday to give up setting goals, but to go with wishes instead. Goals were too structured and dependent on lots of effort for this period in my life. Wishes involve serendipity and trusting in the universe.
My wishes are:
1. Build an affiliate program that will bring in additional streams of income.
2. Share my message of respect, kindness and understanding in family relationships with a much wider audience.
3. Book at least one keynote speech each month
4. Continue the connections with family and friends.
5. Spend wisely- spend on experiences, not things.
with love and support,

1. Continue my morning meditations without fail – first thing, no excuses!
2. Continue building on daily walking with my dog, Mischa, once around the block for him, then me time, once around again. Add on Health Rider for 15 minutes and exercise tape 3 x week. 40lbs off is the final goal. Baby steps. No excuses.
3. Refocus on job hunt – Ray Beshara’s book helps to refocus on the absolute essentials. Follow it to the letter.
4. Continue to take in Dr. R’s AADD mentoring and offerings to help me with coping skills and remember how precious I really am.
5. Declutter and continue the organization process on my home. I’m doing great, but lose steam every so often. Remember to take each room section by section. Easier – tiny chunks gets it done. Visualize how it will look and how I will feel when it’s completed Wahoo!
6. Remember to give thanks for finding the site and continue to blog so others know they are not alone.

1. To prevent tired morning by going to bed earlier. 10:30 to my room to read and pray. 11:30 Lights Out.
2. To actively search for a new home (apartment) for myself and 2 daughters so I am ready with options when our house is sold. View at least 2 places a week.
3. To start setting up a do-able budget in excel. Simple enough to do regularly, and detailed enough to give me good information about my habits. Take action to get rid of the excuses: replace the broken computer keyboard.
4. Invite dinner guests one night every other week, to get to know my daughters friends a little better.
5. To leave work at 5 every day. Come home. Be with your family or work on the above intentions.
