    Frequently Asked Questions

    What is ADHD coaching?

Coaching is an action-oriented process and relationship focused on creating goals through support, guidance, and mentoring.

How is it different from therapy?

Therapy tends to focus more on understanding the past, and on self-exploration. While goal-setting is an integral part of therapy, the process is largely paced by the patient’s interest and ability to work towards those goals.

Coaching typically occurs at a more focused pace, set by both client and coach.

What can I expect from coaching?

You can expect accountability and teamwork. I work with my clients to help them achieve very focused goals – whether it is about study habits, symptom management, skill-building, or much more…

What is expected of me (the client)?

As a client, you will be asked to commit to this process and to follow through with homework and accountability measures to track your progress.

You mean there is homework involved?

Don’t worry! It’s not what you might think. Coachig “homework,” or assignments as I rather call them or tailored to supporting the progress towards your goals.
