ADHD Advice – The Most Important Question Is The One Not Asked
I have once said, “I ask every parent one question…” And I have said that this is the most important question. But just the other day I realized there is an even more powerful question.
It happens all the time… No one individual is immune to letting it happen… In fact, I am sometimes just as guilty as the next person…
So what is this all-new, important question?
It is the question that goes unasked…
The most important question is actually not really a question. Instead – I am talking about a major mistake that can cause more frustration, stress, and aggravation than is necessary, and certainly more than what we want to deal with.
Assumption
Call it what you want, call it what you will, but assumption gets us nowhere. Assumption leads to trouble.
I am talking about the individual who assumes they know what is going on, without having asked any questions for clarification or for getting more detail.
I am talking about the person who makes the leap – before investigating… The person who closes the case and solves the mystery without really looking deeper.
Assumption – results in the most important question not being asked. That all important question – clarification to find out what is going on behind the scenes.
